So Long Summer

WARNING!! LONG POST!!
Wow! Talk about how time flies! I have a new set goal...to blog at least ONCE A WEEK!! I hope I can do it!! :) Well the last few weeks have been kinda crazy, but so much fun! We had our family reunion in Layton this year on July 31-August 1. We went 4-Wheeling on Friday up farmington canyon. It was a blast! Then I camped out at the park with Tyson and our cousin Lucas...also too much fun! Saturday morning I had to leave around 10:30 to get back in time for the Car Wash. I had the great oppurtunity to participate in girls camp this year, and the Car Wash was my responsibility and I must say the girls worked so hard and it definitely paid off!! Not only did they work hard but they were all happy about having to be there. I was so proud of them all.
The Payette River was our destination! Yes we went River Rafting!!! Most Awesome camp ever!! We have a family in our ward that is huge into rafting and a Bishop who loves it also. So we got the approval to go (because it is so far away) and started working hard on everything. So this past Wednesday we hit the road at about 8:30 AM. It took about SEVEN hours to get there. (Potty breaks mostly :) ) But once we arrived at camp we started unloading in the dead heat. Blah! We were supposed to ride the river once Thursday and once Friday, but due to the hideous (cloudy and cold=hideous weather for rafting) weather conditions we woke up to on Thursday. But we decided to go anyway because the weather was supposed to get worse on friday. So we took two runs the Banks run and the Cabarton run. After me almost dying in the first 10 minutes on the raft (seriously felt like it) after the shock of tipping out and being scared for my life I calmed down (an hour later) and enjoyed the ride! The Cabarton run has a rapid at the end called Howard's Plunge. What is it? A 25 foot drop followed by another 25 foot drop here is a video of someone else doing it (I didnt' take my camera on the river so pictures of us will come later)...
